Let's move birth equity forward in Boston
At this critical juncture in our nation’s social landscape, we can help launch a place where folks can choose and shape the birthing experience on their terms.
Neighborhood Birth Center will be Boston’s first freestanding community birth center, a home/spa-like place where highly trained midwives provide prenatal, labor and birth, and postpartum care. A sanctuary that centers families of color and queer families. (Get a glimpse of the vision in the video below.)

Why Neighborhood Birth Center:
Neighborhood Birth Center is about people at the margins redesigning healthcare in ways that improve experiences and outcomes for all. Investment in birth centers has the potential to reduce and eliminate long-standing racial health inequities. We are launching a $3M capital campaign to purchase and outfit a building by Fall 2024. We invite you to be part of this community-led project to bring safety, equity, compassion, and self-determination to the birthing experience.
